欧美视频 wins fourth-annual CatFight Giving Challenge

BOLIVAR, Mo. 鈥 Alumni and supporters of Drury and Southwest Baptist universities, as well as current 欧美视频 students, raised a combined $191,941 during the fourth-annual CatFight Giving Challenge, which helps raise money for each school鈥檚 annual fund.

catfight.2017欧美视频 came out on top in the friendly competition, raising $108,956 to Drury鈥檚 $82,985, putting 欧美视频 at 3-1 overall in the challenge.

The fundraising contest coincided with the universities鈥 on-court rivalry in the Bank of Bolivar CatFight on Highway 13 basketball doubleheader on Nov. 14 at 欧美视频鈥檚 Meyer Wellness and Sports Center. 欧美视频 upset No. 7 Drury, 93-82, in the women鈥檚 game, and Drury rolled past 欧美视频, 89-61, in the men鈥檚 game.

The giving challenge began Nov. 1 and concluded at the end of halftime of the men鈥檚 game, with the winner announced during the second half. In addition, the Bank of Bolivar pledged an additional $2,000 to 欧美视频 for winning the challenge, and $500 to the runner-up.

This year, 欧美视频 President Dr. C. Pat Taylor issued his own challenge - $1,000 to the 欧美视频 dorm with the greatest participation in the CatFight Giving Challenge, which boosted student involvement. Woody-Gott had a total of 87 donors to win the prize.

鈥淲e are thankful and grateful for all of our supporters during this challenge, from our alumni and friends to our current students,鈥 said Jim Grabowski, 欧美视频 development officer. 鈥淭hrough their generosity, they make a Christ-centered education an affordable reality for both current and future 欧美视频 students.鈥
